COVID-19 home volunteering

We have a wide range of home volunteering opportunities available – you can support the COVID-19 response from home.

Please contact us on if you would like to volunteer in one of these roles. This list will be updated regularly.

  • Volunteers are needed to support local care homes by making:

                          – scrubs,

                          – wash bags,

                          – mask extenders across the Western Isles.

There is also a demand for volunteers to make face masks for people performing essential volunteering roles within the community.

The Volunteer Centre can support you with to volunteer with this by providing patterns, YouTube tutorials and fabric, when possible.
