The #IWill Campaign is a UK wide campaign to increase the number of young people involved in volunteering activity that makes a difference to their community, society or environment. Its key aims are to increase the number of young people aged 10-20 participating in volunteering, whatever their background, whilst also recognising the role that older volunteers play in creating opportunities for youth volunteering. YouthLink Scotland, in partnership with Education Scotland and Young Scot, are the key strategic leads for the campaign.
There is more information on the different ways to get involved on our website – https://www.youthlinkscotland.org/programmes/iwill-in-scotland/.
There is also some additional information on ways to make a pledge here: http://www.iwill.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/iwill_PledgeGuidance-FINAL.pdf
Although in Scotland we already have a great number of young people volunteering (52%) we really want to make sure that all young people are getting the same opportunity to participate. In order to do that we really need organisations to think of the ways that they can support young people into volunteering roles and make a pledge to the campaign here: https://www.iwill.org.uk/iwill-pledge-upload/.
