Do you know of an organisation in your community which tackles issues like social isolation, mental health, loneliness or poverty? We want to support them in making a difference.
The CalMac Community Fund helps those most in need across our west coast communities by making awards to help local organisations achieve their goals.
Last year the CalMac Community Fund supported 76 groups – benefitting the lives of children and young people living in our network. You can find out more about the range of projects here.
Highlights from the 2019
fund include:Community Fund 2020 FINAL
- Lewis and Harris Women’s Football Association engaged 140 young female footballers from Barra to the Butt of Lewis.
- Arinagour Primary Parent Council created opportunities for all pupils on Coll to develop their swimming skills.
- Oban Youth Café developed opportunities for young people living with disabilities during school holidays.
We will be seeking applications from non-profit organisations registered to the islands and ports we serve, which engage and deliver services for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people.
